MICKE B2B ALEX WHALEN

MK2AM co-founders Micke and Alex Whalen each began their careers under the watchful eye of Scott Henry, the godfather of the East Coast rave scene and originator of the legendary Buzzlife nights in Washington DC and Fever nights in Baltimore. As they climbed the ladder from openers to resident DJs, they also attracted the attention of Deep Dish, who hired Alex as Yoshitoshi’s General Manager during the duo’s Grammy-winning heyday. Alex asked Micke to join his team of buyers and web gurus at the shop, and from there a multi-decade creative partnership was born.

When playing B2B, Micke and Alex take the crowd on a genre-bending journey that includes melodic house, techno, progressive, breaks, and more. Every set they perform together is as unique as it is unforgettable, with the duo reading and reacting to the crowd as they build from deep melodic house to storming progressive techno and breaks in sets that have been known to last six hours or more.
