ALEX WHALEN

Over his 30+ year career in dance music, Alex has held down residencies with legendary clubs like DC’s Buzz, SF’s Spundae, and Boston’s Avalon; managed Deep Dish’s Yoshitoshi Shop during the duo’s Grammy-winning heyday; appeared on syndicated radio shows across the plant, including Digweed’s Transitions and SiriusXM’s Thump Radio; toured extensively as a solo artist and with fellow nutter Dave Ralph; served as the hand-picked opener for just about every A-list DJ you care to name; and produced dozens of tracks, remixes, and bootlegs that have been played around the world.

In 2022, Alex relocated to the mountains of Colorado, and it is from there that he now collaborates with his longtime friend and production partner Micke to lead MK2AM. Together with his mates in LA, the Eskimo Bros and Dave Ralph, he formed the Bootycorn Sound System, a house music collective bringing old-skool chunk-a-funk to dancefloors around the world. Look for Alex on the road in late-2023 and early-2024 with Micke as they debut their B2B talents with performances across North America.
